Local Committee for Sport and Safety
The Local Committee for Sport and Safety (ÖASS) was established on 18.06.2013. Since then, it has been a permanent institution that ensures the strategic exchange of all network partners. The committee serves to improve communication with one another and, in particular, to dovetail local youth and social work measures and community crime prevention.
The committee meets at least once a year and is chaired by the Head of Finance, Security and Citizen Services. The network is made up of permanent members from the City of Jena with the Municipal Order Department, Legal Department, Sports and Youth Social Work Department, Jena State Police Inspectorate, FC Carl Zeiss Jena e. V., EAS Betriebsgesellschaft, Fanprojekt Jena e. V. and the fire department. In addition, other members such as fan representatives or other clubs can be invited to the meetings as required.
Aim of the ÖASS
- Ensuring a strategic exchange between all network partners regardless of the match day
- To consolidate communication with each other
- Interlocking the measures of local youth and social work and municipal crime prevention
Tasks
- Interface to the National Committee for Sport and Safety
- Regular communication between all institutions involved in soccer events, ensuring the flow of information
- Continuous evaluation of reports from the police, fan project and youth social work
- Event-related public relations work
