Sports plaque of the Free State of Thuringia for Anne Kindler

The Thuringian Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport and the Thuringian State Sports Association once again honored a large number of deserving volunteers for their commitment to sport at the "Thank You Volunteering" event in 2024. Anne Kindler from the Turnsport Gemeinschaft Jena e.V. was among those honored.

Anne Kindler was awarded the Sports Badge of the State of Thuringia by Education Minister Helmut Holter, one of the highest honors in Thuringian sport.

Sport has dominated Anne Kindler's life for years. The teacher of sport, German and history lives her love of gymnastics in particular. She took on a teaching position for practical training in gymnastics at FSU Jena at an early stage during her studies. At the same time, she was an exercise instructor at TuS Jena.

After its dissolution in 2011, she immediately took on responsibility on the board of the newly founded Turnsport Gemeinschaft Jena e.V.. She was active there until 2022 and made a significant contribution to the positive development of the association.

With her "Trainer A - Competitive Sports" instructor license, she holds one of the highest license levels of the German Gymnastics Federation and is thus a nationwide representative of the Thuringian Gymnastics Federation as a referee. In Thuringia itself, she is the head judge in the state league. She also passes on her diverse experience to new judges, coaches and trainers in Thuringia as part of training and further education. She is also actively involved in the teaching team of the Thuringia State Sports Association.

She also combines her enthusiasm for gymnastics with her teaching activities. Since 2017, the gymnastics festival for grades seven to twelve has been held under her direction and she introduces numerous children and young people to gymnastics through an "Acrobatics & Gymnastics" project week.

The Stadtsportbund Jena e.V. and the city of Jena would like to congratulate Anne Kindler on this prestigious award and hope that this great commitment will continue for a long time to come.
